CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Two people are accused of selling alcohol to minors in Cortland.

On March 13, State Police conducted an underage drinking detail at 15 businesses across Cortland County.

The detail included an officer in plain clothes and at least one operative under 21 who cannot lie about their age or provide a false date of birth if asked.

Troopers say the Speedway on Tompkins Street and the Speedway on Port Watson Street in the Crown City were not in compliance.

Two employees were issued appearance tickets under the NYS ABC Law of Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under 21, which is a violation.
