Ulysses board conditionally accepts land donation

ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) — Plans are advancing for a public park in Ulysses.

On Aug. 27, the Ulysses Town Board conditionally accepted a land donation on Cold Springs Road. The roughly 15-acre property is being offered by the Pritts family, who lives in the town.

Ulysses Town Supervisor Katelin Olson said it’ll take a while for the park to come to fruition.

“This process won’t happen overnight,” she said. “It’s going to be a slow development process.”

The next step in the process involves a review by the Ulysses Board of Zoning Appeals. The group is expected to meet on Sept. 17.
