Waverly couple charged with burglary in Town of Chemung

CHEMUNG, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tioga County couple is facing charges in Chemung County.

On December 31, deputies arrested Nicholas and Jennifer Malorzo, of Waverly, following a theft investigation in the Town of Chemung.

Nicholas, 35, and Jennifer, 38, are accused of breaking into a Masonic Lodge and stealing items on November 28 in the presence of their three children, who are all under the age of 8. Investigators ultimately developed the Malorzos as suspects after reviewing surveillance footage.

Each is charged with felony burglary, felony criminal mischief, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, and misdemeanor petit larceny. Additionally, authorities have referred the matter to Tioga County Child Protective Services.

Nicholas and Jennifer Malorzo are scheduled to appear in Chemung Town Court at a later date.
