OVID, NY (607NewsNow) – A Wayne County man is facing charges in Seneca County.

On January 2, deputies arrested Joseph Lamb, of Newark, around 6:30 p.m. and charged him with felony burglary, misdemeanor possession of burglar’s tools, and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Lamb’s arrest follows an investigation and search of his vehicle. The 39-year-old is accused of forcing his way into a building in the Town of Ovid. Investigators say they found equipment in Lamb’s vehicle consistent with unlawfully entering a building and removing copper piping.

Due to prior felony convictions, Lamb was held in Seneca County Jail to await a future court date.
