BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) – State Senator Lea Webb is helping local vets.

On November 12, Webb delivered $50,000 in funding to the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group (STVSG).

The money will help the organization’s efforts to provide resources for local vets, service members, and their families. The Southern Tier Veterans Support Group provides mental health services, housing assistance, education, and employment opportunities for vents in 14 counties in New York and Pennsylvania.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to Senator Webb for her generous support and commitment to our nation’s heroes,” said STVSG Vice President Anthony Pedro. “This funding will make a tremendous difference in helping the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group expand vital programs, provide essential resources, and ensure that local veterans and their families received the care and assistance they deserve.
