NEW YORK (607NewsNow) — Baseball fans in New York have a reason to smile.

On Sunday, the Yankees and Mets picked up victories. The Yankees beat the Blue Jays 8-3, while the Mets topped the Braves 8-1.

Ben Rice and Jose Caballero each homered for the Yanks. The Mets saw home runs from Marcus Semien and A.J. Ewing.

The Yanks are off today; they’ll start a new series against the White Sox on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Mets visit the Reds tonight at 7:10 p.m.
