Yankees top Twins; Syracuse Mets travel to Rochester

The Yankees beat the Twins 6-2 on Monday. The Bombers blasted four home runs in the victory. A rematch takes place tonight at 7:05 p.m. in the Bronx.

The Mets start their series against the Braves tonight at 7:10 p.m. Atlanta enters the matchup on a three-game win streak. Clay Holmes will pitch for New York.

The Syracuse Mets are on the road tonight. They visit Rochester at 6:45 p.m.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies host New Hampshire tonight at 6:07 p.m. New Hampshire enters the series on a five-game skid.

The Syracuse men’s basketball team has an unusual matchup this coming season. The Orange will entertain Delaware State on Nov. 8. The two teams have never met.

A playmaker for the Bills is another year older. On Monday, wide receiver Curtis Samuel celebrated his 29th birthday. He caught one touchdown for Buffalo last season.
