Google just released a video of people riding for the first time in one of its self-driving cars. It’s a new version that doesn’t have a steering wheel or any pedals. They’ve had self-driving cars on the road already, but always with a human driver who could override the computer in an emergency. The version in this video is totally automatic, all the time.
